This post has a special meaning for me.
I used to live in Liverpool, and that’s where I lost sight of my sisters, thirty years ago.
I found them recently (ta, Facebook) and one of my sisters came here to visit me.
We talked about me coming back to England, to Liverpool.
She said ”Michael, I don’t think you’d like England now. It’s so clean here and people are so cool and you hardly ever see drunk people. England has become very violent, and the town-centre streets of Liverpool, and many other cities, are now full of drunk people and fights. I am worried about you coming back, and not liking it any more”.
Right or wrong, what she said is food for thought....
Thanks for posting!!
(Oh, and I’m a Liverpool fan. Loved Gerrard’s first goal against Marseille here in France a couple of months ago. Magic!!)
